Scottish Network for Volunteering Research

About the Scottish Network for Volunteering Research

The mission of SNVR is to enhance the volunteering evidence base in Scotland to inform policy and practice priorities relevant to the implementation of Scotland’s Volunteering Action Plan.

By creating a network for researchers working on volunteering, SNVR seeks to achieve the following objectives:

  • Develop and promote a shared research agenda in relation to volunteering in Scotland based on research priorities and research gaps
  • Share research interests and outputs relevant to volunteering
  • Promote research collaboration and partnership where appropriate
  • Improve the inclusion of Volunteer Voice in volunteering research
  • Learn from each other on respective research methods, skills and expertise, especially relating to Volunteer Voice
  • Better interpret, share insights and increase the impact of volunteering research evidence
  • Improve research linkages relevant to volunteering across the third, public and private sectors

SNVR is open to any Third Sector Research Forum members involved in generation of volunteering evidence or who use volunteering research. (Note: The Third Sector Research Forum is free join, join here). There will be regular meetings throughout the year and members share opportunities, outputs and questions in a dedicated Slack channel.
